Armco RSP Supplies Top Quality Road Safety Cones

Road safety cones are often used to mark hazards, road works sites, delineate traffic and mark out detours around temporary obstacles. The road safety cones supplied by Armco RSP have become a common sight on South African roads, mostly in their distinctive Day-glo Orange colour, although other colours are also available. These cones’ bright colour attracts attention to the hazard and helps make South Africa’s roads safer.

We offer these cones in several different models. The smallest type of Melba cone weighs only 1.5kg; however, it has a very wide foot and a narrow cone to afford it the necessary stability in a strong wind. The narrow cone has a small cross section, so that the cone will not act like a sail; the wide foot keeps it upright. Its foot is 295mm wide and the cone height is 450mm. The intermediate model is 500mm high, but its foot is actually narrower at 290mm. However, because it weighs more (2.1kg), superior aerodynamic stability is maintained. The large model in the range is 750mm high, with a 410mm foot. A weight of 4.8kg weighs it down effectively, despite the sizeable cross section.

Our cones are very tough and were designed to be flexible and impact-resistant. They are aerodynamically designed to remain stable and not blow over easily, even in high winds. This makes them very suited to coastal use, where strong winds are more often prevalent. The paint applied to these cones is UV-resistant to resist fading and flaking, even when exposed to the elements for many years.

Armco RSP‘s road safety cones are affordable and versatile. Contact us for more information.
