Our bright yellow StackMan barriers are a common sight at road works sites and are very popular because they are so easy to move and install. They are easily stackable and quickly assembled in long chains. When filled with water, they form an effective barrier between cars and road workers. They are manufactured from high-impact UV-stabilised polyethylene. Our Monster Man barriers are also made out of this nearly indestructible material, but they are a designed to absorb far greater impacts. The segments are 3m long and 2.6m high. Each segment, when filled with 2,000 litres of water, weighs over two tons, for superior impact absorption and penetration resistance.

You will also notice our permanent barriers on Pretoria’s roads. The well-established guardrail barrier is installed on curves, bridges and road elevations, where it would be especially dangerous for a vehicle to leave the road. The barriers support poles are designed to break away progressively when hit by a vehicle, allowing the entire barrier to deform and essentially “scoop” the vehicle back onto the roadway. Many lives have been saved this way.
