Johannesburg Road Safety Barriers By Armco RSP

The Johannesburg road safety barriers designed and manufactured by Armco RSP keep the city’s motorist safe on the roads. Temporary barriers are installed at places like road works sites and permanent barriers are installed where it would be very dangerous if your vehicle were to leave the roadway, like on bridges, curves and road elevations. There are many examples of Johannesburg road safety barriers, and they all meet strict international safety and design standards.

Our well-known guardrail barrier uses collapsible timber post technology to deform upon impact, redirecting a vehicle back onto the roadway. Steel posts are available, customised to the client’s requirement. The guardrail is usually fitted with reflectors to remain highly visible at night. We manufacture several types of temporary barriers, like the interlocking, plastic, water-filled StackMan barriers used at road works sites; the heavy-duty Monster Man barrier is also a plastic, water-filled type, but it is much larger and significantly more impact-resistant.

The Barrier Guard steel safety barrier is also a temporary type of barrier, used in containment applications. It is approved to the BS EN 1317 (parts 1 and 2) European Performance Standard and will deflect by only 1m during a 110km/h impact by a 1,500kg vehicle at 20 degrees. Its QuickMount system allows for easy installation, it is comparatively space efficient with a base width of only 540mm and up to 144m of barrier can be transported on one truck.
