Armco RSP offers various road products throughout South Africa that improve road safety.  Our road cones are used to delineate traffic and indicate temporary detours or mark road works sites.  Road cones have become part of South Africans’ consciousness, especially now that so many parts of our country have turned into road construction zones.

Although other colours are available, day-glow orange is the colour mostly used for most common road cones.  Our cones are coloured with UV-resistant paint to maintain their brilliant colour for extended periods, even when exposed to the elements – they will not fade or flake.  They have also been designed to be impact-resistant and flexible.  Their aerodynamic design will ensure that they are stable in high winds and will not blow over easily.  For this reason, they are ideal for coastal use, where it is often very windy.

We offer three different sizes.  The smallest one is 450mm high, 295mm wide and weighs 2kg; it uses a narrow cone with a wide foot to provide the necessary stability in windy conditions, despite its low weight.  The second one is a little higher, at 500mm and 290mm wide, but weighs 4kg; it uses a fatter cone with a larger cross section that is exposed to wind, amply compensated for by its greater weight.  The third type is a large cone of 750mm by 410mm and weighs 6kg, for superior visibility and stability.
