Armco RSP’s road products prevents road accidents

South African road accidents are right up there with the worst in the world per capita.  We are mentioned in the same breath as countries like Somalia, Thailand and Malaysia.  We make 800 000 road accidents every year; 12 000 of these are fatal, resulting in 15 000 fatalities.  In other words, 41 people die every day.  To make matters even worse, an additional 23 people are permanently disabled in car accidents every day.  Armco RSP manufactures road safety products to international standards and are driven to help improve these figures.

Over and above the terrible cost in human lives, these accidents cost our economy almost R50 billion per year: money that could have been used much more constructively in an emerging economy like ours.  Armco RSP road safety products have a very wide scope and include barriers, signage and delineators.  Here are some of our products:

• Barriers.  Permanent guardrail barriers and wire rope safety fence barriers, temporary water-filled StackMan and Triton barriers and our indestructible IronMan barriers.
• Delineators and channellisers.  White, safe-hit channellisers and black and yellow blade-type delineators.
• Speed ramps.  Our speed ramps come in two different heights and are made of tough, recycled thermoplastic.  The segments are in contrasting black and yellow and they are fitted with white cat’s eyes.  They are secured by expansion bolts and come with end caps.
